How to check when a Workday job was posted

Workday career sites publish a start date for each posting, and the checker reads it as the original posting date.

Which dates Workday publishes

The career site's job-detail data includes a startDate. The checker shows it as "Originally posted" with an age.

Workday's schema allows an optional end date, which the checker would treat as a closing date. No live Workday posting we checked included one. So for Workday, as for the others, don't expect a closing date or a "Last updated" line.

If the job is closed or missing

A 404 on a Workday posting tells the checker the job is gone, because an unknown company tenant answers with a 422 instead. The result is "Closed or no longer listed".

That makes Workday's closed result more specific than Greenhouse, Lever and SmartRecruiters, which can't tell a missing job from a missing board. If the tenant name is wrong, you won't get a closed result at all.

How to spot a Workday job

Workday addresses come in several shapes, all on the company's own Workday host:

The requisition number is the part after the last underscore in the title slug, for example JR2014178.

Check a Workday link

Paste the company's apply link into the Job Age Checker. The checker makes one request to the career site's own host. LinkedIn and Indeed links are refused.

Paste the link from the company's careers site or its hiring system (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Workday).
